Divisional Music & Arts Programs
Pendel Brass, Singers, & Timbrelists is an ensemble of teens and adults who have achieved advanced musical skill levels. Participants receive group instruction, perform public concerts, and support Salvation Army events and service activities.
Youth Band, Chorus, & Timbrels is an ensemble of youth, generally between the ages of 11 to 21. Youth involved in these music groups have achieved an intermediate music skill level. Participants receive group instruction, perform public concerts, and support Salvation Army events and service activities.
Prep level youth musicians and artists will rehearse at Regional Music Schools In the fall and winter. Each music school is organized by Coordinating Council and will be led by the Regional Music Director, with instructional support by local leaders, including Pendel Youth and Brass members in that region. Youth involved in these music groups will have achieved a basic music skill level at their corps and make significant progress working beside like-minded young musicians and artists, Brass, timbrel and chorus items are selected in the fall of each year, which allows participants at the regional music schools to unite together for performances in the spring.
The Pendel Creative Arts Team is a group of teens and adults who are interested in using dance and drama to enhance worship and for evangelism. This group supports divisional and corps outreach as requested.
