2014 TAM Conservatory
TAM Conservatory 2014
August 2-9, 2014
Report by Stephany Suarez
The Territorial Arts Ministries Conservatory (TAM) is held annually for one week, with major tracks in the drama, dance, choreodrama and worship team. Each track provides a time to improve and develop their artistic craft through technical study, as well as rehearse a piece for the finale. Delegates from all over the Eastern Territory and beyond attend. The Pendel division was represented by thirteen delegates and three staff members.
Lt. Christina Valdes
The theme this year was “Rooted” based on Colossians 2: 6-7: “There as you have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, having been firmly rooted and now being built up in Him and established in your faith, just as you instructed, and overflowing with gratitude.” Everything at TAM, the art, worship and fellowship were built around this central theme. This allowed everything we learned to be reinforced and transformation followed. God meets us where we are and our lives are changed. Together, throughout the week, we weeded destructive roots, harvested the righteous roots, and planted new roots. We became more deeply rooted in Christ.
Here are some comments from our delegates:
“I could be myself and so many people were supportive of that. It was a great environment to be in when you want to get closer to Christ.”– Marissa Riley, Carlisle
“The fellowship was my favorite part. I was able to meet people who were passionate about dance and grow with them, both in dance and my relationship with God.” – Elaina Salinas, Easton
“Personally, I felt the spiritual connection was a lot stronger than usual. It was more intimate. I wasn’t standing behind an instrument or a stand. I was physically able to praise God. Also, the small groups helped me “branch out” and get to know people all over the territory.” – Brielle Jordan, Philadelphia Citadel
“I was able to just constantly be in the presence of God, it was incredible” – Mili Salinas, Easton
I enjoyed the Francis Chan videos and the times we worshiped all together.”– Lt. Cristina Valdez, Easton
