Adopt Lehigh Valley Kids
Adopt Lehigh Valley Kids is a partnership between The Salvation Army Children's Services and WFMZ-69 News. Each month, a new waiting child from Lehigh, Northampton, or Berks County is featured in a segment that airs on WFMZ-69 News, introducing them to the community as one of the many local children who are waiting for an adoptive family. Since launching in July 2016, the amazing children who filmed their segments have participated in fun activities based on their interests, supported by generous local businesses and organizations.
Angelica, age 12, loves cheerleading and spent the morning with competitive cheerleaders learning new moves. The City of Bethlehem Fire Department welcomed 14 year old Frank to show him what a day on the job would be like if he follows his dream of becoming a fire fighter. Another child, Max, had a blast practicing football with the Lehigh Valley Steelhawks, and 14 year old Zaahir recorded some of his own original raps at the state of the art Real Recording Studio.
Adopt Lehigh Valley Kids segments have raised awareness not only to the need of a forever family for featured children, but also for the more than 2,000 other children in Pennsylvania who are waiting for someone to welcome them home. Adopt Lehigh Valley Kids airs on WFMZ-69 News the first Friday evening and Saturday morning of each month.

Andrew is our wondeful September Adopt Lehigh Valley Kids featured child. Andrew is 10 years old and he loves all of the traditional kid stuff: riding a bike or scooter, playing outside, swinging on swings, playing with computer games. Andrew enjoys being around other children and would do well in a home with older siblings who could be a role model for him or as an only child. Another thing Andrew loves is animals. During his ALVK taping, Andrew toured the Lehigh Valley Zoo and learned about all of the creatures there. Andrew was full of great questions about the animals and their habits. Check out Andrew's segment HERE.
At only 10 years old, Andrew is so in need of a forever family. He will need an experienced, structured, organized family who can advocate for his individual needs and who will provide consistency and security for him. Andrew would very much like to continue contact with his birth familly.

Please take a moment to check out Randy's amazing experience by clicking HERE.
Randy also enjoys Michael Jackson music and art and computer classes at school. Randy is cautious when he meets new people, but opens up once he gets to know them.
