“The soft breeze on my forehead as I go to kiss them goodnight, safe, secure, and loved – content for them and content in me for doing what I can, when I can for this child; one step at a time, in his time, and in God’s perfect timing.”
—Mike and Kelly Carl, Foster and Adoptive Parents
Every Child Deserves a Safe Place to Call Home.
With over 2,000 children in Pennsylvania waiting in foster care for a forever family, the need for loving families who are willing to open their hearts and homes is great. Consider becoming an adoptive parent and provide a child with a chance at a bright future.
The Salvation Army Children's Services provides services for the following types of adoption:
Foster Care Adoption: Adoption of a child that you are fostering if the child becomes legally free for adoption.
SWAN Adoption: Adoption through the Statewide Adoption and Permanency Network (SWAN) of a child in Pennsylvania who is legally free for adoption and already waiting for a permanent family. Check out Adopt Lehigh Valley Kids for a waiting child of the month!
Home Study for Private Adoptions: The agency can provide a private adoption home study when a family is working with a private adoption agency/attorney for infant adoption, relative/kinship adoption, custody, etc..
