The Salvation Army Adoption Program works in conjunction with the Statewide Adoption and Permanency Network (SWAN) and county children and youth agencies to bring children and families together for the purpose of providing a permanent home for a foster child.

There are three broad phases to the adoption process:

  • Making a child available for adoption
  • The application/evaluation process of a prospective family
  • Bringing the child and family together

One of the first steps for most families or individuals is simply to obtain more information about Adoption by requesting an information packet or by speaking with a Children's Services representative about your interest in adoption.  Simply call our office and we would be happy to provide you with that information and answer your important questions.  Once you have made an informative decision about your desire to adopt a child, you may begin the application process.
