Vacation Bible School (August)

Every summer, The Salvation Army of Coatesville opens their doors to the children (ages 6-12) of the Pottsville community for a week-long program to learn about God and His love. Vacation Bible School traditionally opens with a sing-along, in which campers sing religious songs to enhance engagement and learning. Following the welcome, a story will be told to help explain the main message of the day. Children rotate between an art craft station, a science station, and a recap of the day's Bible story following a break for lunch. Trips are included and free of cost. Vacation Bible School aims to teach children about God by applying Bible stories to real life in a way they can understand. Dates change every year but will remain August. For any questions, feel free to give us a call.

Red Kettle Campaign

The week of Thanksgiving, The Salvation Army’s signature Red Kettles, manned by bell-ringers, can be spotted at numerous stores throughout the Pottsville area. This annual effort is The Salvation Army’s biggest fundraiser. All of the funds generated through this event stay right here in our community to support our Christmas assistance and many programs. This program represents the community spirit of giving at its best— through the funds that are raised and the hundreds of volunteers who make this effort possible.
