While the iconic Salvation Army red kettles truly are the ultimate sign of the Christmas season, we remain extremely grateful to numerous media partners for their generosity in remembering the children and seniors during this time.

Central PA

MERF / WEIZ Battle of the Morning Shows
Friendly fundraising competition between radio stations WEIZ-AM and MERF-FM to help raise funds for The Salvation Army. Congratulations to the MERF Morning Show team, winning for the second time in three years. This year listeners of the two stations combined to raise $10,724.49, every penny of which will benefit our local neighbors in need.

B101 / NBC 10 Stockings for Kids
Over the past seventeen years, Stockings for Kids has become a beloved Philadelphia tradition, which has raised millions of dollars in stockings, toys and donations for The Salvation Army to distribute to those less fortunate. What began as a school-focused fundraiser has grown into a movement that includes thousands of individuals, schools, corporations and community groups working together every holiday season to help those who need it the most. 2013 corporate partners include Boscov's, Mercedes-Benz, and VWR International.

CBS Philly Joy of Sharing
CBS 3 and The CW Philly 57 launched the stations' 25th annual Joy of Sharing toy campaign benefiting children in need this holiday season. The stations are requesting new, unwrapped toys for local children on behalf of The Salvation Army through Friday, December 20th — when the campaign wraps up with an all-day drive through drop-off. Thanks to corporate partners Ashley Furniture Home Stores, Acura, the Franklin Institute, Hand and Stone Massage and Facial Spa, Herr Foods, Pandora, and Wilmington University.

Daily Times Merry Christmas Fund
The Delaware County Daily Times again is partnering with The Salvation Army on the 43rd Annual Merry Christmas Fund. The campaign allows The Salvation Army to provide registered families with food baskets containing three meals, including breakfast and a full Christmas dinner. The Daily Times and DelcoTimes.com are an integral part of the community and seek to help those in need. The organization prints daily updates showing the amount of donations received to the Merry Christmas Fund.

Greater Media Philadelphia Rock the Red Kettle
This Christmas, Greater Media Philadelphia radio stations 95.7 BEN FM, 93.3 WMMR and 97.5 The Fanatic are teaming up to Rock the Red Kettle, a fundraiser offering exciting prizes to listeners who donate to the stations' special Salvation Army Online Red Kettle. Individuals are also invited to set up their own Online Red Kettles and invite their network of friends and family to help support The Salvation Army.

Northeast PA

FOX 56 Red Kettle Partnership
The FOX 56 Red Kettle Partnership encourages FOX56, CW, MyNet-TV, and Me-TV viewers to log onto and "like" The Salvation Army in NEPA Facebook page. For each new "like" between November 28 and December 31, the station makes a donation to The Salvation Army.

Pocono Record Toys for Joy
Each year between Thanksgiving and Christmas, the Pocono Record collects donations, and then turns them over to The Salvation Army, and other local charitable organizations, which purchase and distribute toys and gifts for children in need all across Monroe County. Now in its 32nd year, the fund helps take the burden off families struggling with unemployment or high heating bills. They know their children will find something under the tree at Christmas.

Susquehanna Valley

Public Opinion Holiday Helping Hands
For 26 years, Public Opinion has partnered with The Salvation Army and conducted a month-long campaign to help ease the hardships of local families in need by helping to pay utility bills, buy groceries and provide emergency bus travel. Since 1987, more than $150,000 has been given to help more than 2,275 people in the county. All funds collected assist families in Franklin County.

WGAL Coats for Kids

WGAL Coats for Kids collects new or gently used coats at participating dry cleaners for distribution by The Salvation Army to help keep less fortunate children across the Susquehanna Valley warm each winter! Program partners include Family Owned Markets and PDCA (Pennsylvania and Delaware Cleaners Association).

With the help of these partners, each holiday season, thousands of people donate gifts and clothing items that we are able to share with children and families in need. Through all of our efforts, The Salvation Army endeavors to bring spiritual light and love to those it serves at Christmas and throughout the year.
